Until the Last Bell

The first day of college was full of excitement. New faces, new classrooms, and new dreams filled the campus.

Ryan arrived late for his first lecture. As he hurried into the classroom, he accidentally dropped his notebook. Before he could pick it up, a girl sitting in the front row smiled and handed it back to him.

"Looks like you're having a busy morning," she said.

Ryan laughed. "I guess I wanted to make a dramatic entrance."

Her name was Emma.

Over the next few months, they became close friends. They studied together in the library, grabbed coffee between classes, and cheered each other on during college events. Their friendship grew stronger with every shared conversation.

Emma dreamed of becoming an architect, while Ryan wanted to start his own technology company. Whenever one of them felt discouraged, the other offered support and encouragement.

As graduation approached, they realized college was coming to an end. On the evening of the farewell celebration, Ryan asked Emma to take a walk around the quiet campus.

They stopped beneath the old oak tree where they had often studied together.

Ryan smiled and said, "The best part of college wasn't the classes or the grades. It was meeting you."

Emma smiled back. "No matter where life takes us, I'm grateful our paths crossed here."

They decided to stay together, supporting each other's dreams as they began the next chapter of their lives.

Years later, they often returned to their old college campus, remembering the place where a simple friendship grew into a lifelong love story.
