The Lipstick That Started a Love Story

The Lipstick That Started a Love Story

Riya believed that fashion was more than clothes. To her, fashion was a language—a way of expressing confidence, dreams, and the person hidden behind a smile. She worked as a young fashion designer in a busy city, where every day was filled with fabrics, sketches, colors, and endless deadlines.

Among all the things on her dressing table, one item was especially precious: a deep-red lipstick.

It had belonged to her mother, who had given it to Riya before she left home to build her career.

“Wear this whenever you need courage,” her mother had said.

Riya never forgot those words.

One evening, she was preparing for the biggest fashion show of her career. She wore a beautiful black dress, delicate earrings, and her mother's red lipstick. As she looked into the mirror, she whispered, “I can do this.”

At the fashion show, hundreds of people filled the hall. Models walked confidently under bright lights while photographers captured every detail.

Among the photographers was Aarav.

He wasn't interested only in beautiful clothes. He noticed the stories behind them. When he saw Riya standing backstage, nervously watching her collection, he walked over.

“Your designs are beautiful,” he said.

Riya smiled. “Thank you. I'm just hoping everything goes well.”

Aarav looked at her red lipstick and smiled.

“You look like someone who doesn't give up.”

Riya laughed. “Maybe the lipstick is doing all the work.”

That small joke became the beginning of their friendship.

After the show, Aarav contacted Riya about photographing her next collection. They began working together. Their professional meetings slowly became coffee dates, long walks, and conversations that lasted until midnight.

Aarav admired Riya's determination. Riya loved the way Aarav understood emotions through his camera.

One rainy evening, Riya was preparing for another fashion event when she accidentally dropped her lipstick.

The tube broke.

She stared at it sadly.

“It was my mother's,” she whispered.

Aarav picked up the broken lipstick carefully.

“Then we'll keep the memory,” he said.

He later surprised her with a small silver lipstick case containing a new red lipstick.

Riya opened it and smiled through tears.

“You remembered.”

“I remember everything about you.”

Her heart began beating faster.

But their happiness was soon tested.

Riya received an offer from a major fashion company in another country. It was the opportunity she had dreamed about since childhood.

She was excited, but afraid.

“I don't know what will happen to us,” she told Aarav.

He held her hand.

“Don't give up your dream because of me.”

“What if distance changes everything?”

“Then we'll prove distance wrong.”

Riya accepted the offer.

For months, they lived far apart. Their relationship became difficult. Different schedules, missed calls, and loneliness slowly created misunderstandings.

One night, after a painful argument, Riya looked at the red lipstick on her dressing table. She remembered her mother's words: Wear this whenever you need courage.

She picked up her phone and called Aarav.

“I don't want to lose you,” she said.

“I don't want to lose you either.”

Months later, Riya returned home for her biggest fashion presentation. She walked onto the runway wearing her own signature collection.

At the end of the show, she saw Aarav standing in the audience.

He was holding a small silver lipstick case.

After the show, he walked toward her.

“You still have it?” Riya asked.

“Always.”

She smiled.

Their love story had begun with fashion, grown through distance, and survived because they chose each other again and again.

And that little red lipstick became more than makeup.

It became a symbol of courage, memories, dreams, and a love that refused to fade.
